Welcome to the Guideposts Friendship Schemes Website

Guideposts runs two friendship schemes in North and East Warwickshire:

Mental Health Friendship Scheme which covers North Warwickshire, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Rugby

Learning Disability Friendship Scheme covering Rugby and Daventry.

Both friendship schemes work on the same principle - we aim to improve the lives of people who are experiencing a mental health problem or have a learning disabilities by offering them friendship, social activities and the chance to meet other people.  This in turn helps to improve our clients self -esteem, social skills and social interaction.  

Volunteers are recruited and matched with our clients who will arrange activities with them. These may be group or individual activities.  Participants on the scheme may visit the cinema, gym, out for a pub lunch, meet up for a coffee and a chat also enjoy group outings to the zoo, theme parks,  plus lots more!
